Randy Gilmer joined McGraw Morris P.C. as an associate on November 2, 2009. He focuses his practice constitutional and civil rights liability, primarily in the defense of police officer liability. He also assists in various municipal matters, including land use and zoning regulation. While focusing municipal matters, Randy had extensive experience in insurance coverage, product liability, construction law, asbestos litigation, and international business transactions. While working in Washington, D.C., Randy assisted in federal lobbying efforts on behalf of various clients. Mr. Gilmer also has judicial clerk experience, having clerked for the Honorable Kurtis T. Wilder of the Michigan Court of Appeals.
Randy received his J.D., graduating cum laude, and a certificate in Comparative and International Law, from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law, in May, 2000. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of Michigan, where he graduated, with distinction in April, 1996, receiving a B.A. in political science. Randy was selected by his peers as a 2008 Michigan Super Lawyer Rising Star.
